Nikon COOLPIX B600 Firmware Update

Nikon COOLPIX B600 Compact Digital Camera

Nikon COOLPIX B600 Firmware Update – The Nikon COOLPIX B600 is a DSLR-style super-zoom ‘ bridge ‘ camera that enhances the 40x range of the previous B500 with a 24-1440mm 60x zoom lens that is longer-equal to the COOLPIX B700. The old AA batteries are replaced with EN-EL12 Lithium-ion which can be filled in the camera via USB. As with any advantage, there is a disadvantage, though, and the B500 flip screen is gone, replaced with a fixed 3-inch panel with the same 920k dot resolution. Most other things stay the same, including fully automatic point and shoot operations, 1080p video, mediocre continuous shooting and unmatched Snapbridge for seamless image transfer to your phone while you’re shooting.

Nikon COOLPIX B600  Features and Design

The COOLPIX B600 comes with 19 shooting modes, with which the user simply selects the Mode according to the shoot, and the camera automatically optimizes the settings accordingly. The Multiple Exposure Lighten function, one of the scene modes, is an effective way to capture light trails such as car light flows or star movements, comparing some of the images taken with interval timer photography and automatically defactured the brightest parts. With smart portrait mode, you can beautify human faces by applying effects such as skin softening and makeup. Creative Mode lets you create pictures as you wish. By choosing from 9 effects, the camera saves four variations of the effect you choose and a single image with no effect simultaneously in one shot, offering a combination of different options such as precise aperture, contrast and colour reproduction.

The ISO sensitivity of Nikon B600 ranges from 125-1600 in all modes, although ISO 3200 and 6400 are available exclusively in automatic Mode. Also like B500, B600 does not offer Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority or Manual exposure modes. Instead, it relies on beginner-friendly automatic exposures with +/-2EV exposure compensation, plus 19 scene modes such as Smart Portrait, backlight, beach, bird watching, Close-up, Dusk/dawn, easy Panorama, performance fireworks, food, landscape, moon, Lighten Double exposure, night landscape, Night portrait, Party/Indoor, pet Portrait, Snow, sports and sunset RAW capture is not supported.

B600 includes built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity that makes it easy to share when using the Nikon SnapBridge app and compatible mobile devices. Photographers can also geotag images and operate B600 remotely using the SnapBridge app. Support for the Bluetooth ML-L7 Nikon Remote Control is also provided, but unlike B500, B600 does not include NFC (Near Field Communication) support.

Cable connectivity includes high speed USB 2.0 data and Micro HDMI type-D for high-definition video. Images and movies are stored on an SD, SDHC, or SDXC memory card, and B600 includes 83MB of built-in flash memory available for storage.
