Nikon COOLPIX B700 Compact Digital Camera
Nikon COOLPIX B700 Firmware Update – The Nikon Coolpix B700 updates P610 and features the same 60x optical zoom lens, but enhances the inside to offer a new 20-megapixel sensor and 4K video recording. Wi-Fi and NFC are built-in and have joined low-power Bluetooth to allow for low-power image transfer to a smartphone or tablet.
Nikon COOLPIX B700 Design, Features and Performance
The COOLPIX B700 looks a bit different than the previous P610 and indeed P600 before, and yes, the P500 is even earlier. Nikon thinks there is a form factor of victory here and I won’t argue. The COOLPIX B700 is very fitting in my hands. The clutches, which are covered with material like soft textured rubber, are a bit shallower than on the B500 (which need to be larger to accommodate four AA batteries) but still generous. I have a fairly long finger, and my middle finger is just making contact with the body when it is wrapped.
The dimensions are 125mm x 85mm x 106mm, and the Nikon Coolpix B700 weighs 570g with the battery and card-which is slightly larger all round and below 30g, or approximately one ounce heavier than the B500. I was able to put B500 comfortably in my jacket pocket; B700 entered, but it was a pressure and a bit of power to return.
The Optical image stabilization is available when recording 4K (UHD) videos, with electronic image stabilization also available when recording FullHD videos. The choose between 30 and 25fps when recording 4K video, and 30/60 and 25/50fps when recording FullHD videos. 4K videos significantly use more memory than FullHD videos, recording using 62Mbps, so we have to make sure the computer we use is capable of playing 4K video, and if you have a slow internet connection, uploading videos to sites like YouTube can be slow. Image stabilization works well for videos to stay stable, and focus is also good when using optical zoom.
