Nikon D4S Firmware Update | Setup User & Manual Download – Without a doubt, the top Nikon DSLR line is the most feature-rich, responsive and most capable camera, and D4 is no exception. While the D4s exterior is practically identical to D4 (more on ergonomic changes in the next page), the inner core is where the camera gets the most upgrades.

Nikon D4S Overview

The 16.2 MP Sensor gets a boost in the native sensitivity range, ranging from ISO 100 to 25,600, which is a higher stop than what D4s has. The camera’s measurement and white balance system get adjustments with more features. The autofocus system is enhanced with more features and faster shooting rates of 11 fps with full-time autofocus (compared to 10 fps on D4).

Speed is the name of the game when it comes to DSLR Pro, and Nikon enhancements allow D4S to shoot up to 11fps-1fps faster than D4-with both automatic measurement and focus acquisition-but 1fps is slower than the Canon EOS 1D X.

Even so, the improved processing speed allows D4S to continue firing up to 200 large and smooth JPEG files, or 104 uncompressed 14-bit raw files with an XQD memory card.

D4S can now adjust the audio volume while recording, but there is no additional feature to support movie shooting: There is no focus peaking or zebra, and there are no other high bitrate settings for the frame rate already offered by D4. Unlike the existing Nikon, D4S can now simultaneously display uncompressed videos via HDMI and record to the internal memory card.
