The Nikon Coolpix W300 is also dustproof and anti-fall from a height up to 2.4 meters, while it features an internal zoom 5x wide-angle that is stacked internally (and thus protected); So far, the goods are pretty standard. • Press the Nikon COOLPIX W300 camera MENU button and select the Firmware Version in the SETUP MENU to display the Nikon COOLPIX W300 Camera Firmware Version.
• Check the Nikon COOLPIX W300 Camera Firmware Version.
• Turn off the Nikon COOLPIX W300 camera.

How to Updating the Camera Firmware

1. Create a new folder on your computer.

2. Download the Nikon COOLPIX W300 Firmware (F-W300-V14W.exe / F-W300-V14M.dmg) to the folder created in Step 1.
3. Extract the Firmware file (F-W300-V14W.exe / F-W300-V14M.dmg) containing “firmware.bin & gpsfirm.bin” (camera firmware) to a folder called “W300Update“.  firmware (the sub-folder containing the firmware)
   – firmware.bin
   – gpsfirm.bin
4. Copy the file “firmware Folder“ to the memory card that has been formatted in the Nikon COOLPIX W300.
5. Insert the memory card into the main slot on the Nikon COOLPIX W300 and turn on the camera.
6. Select the Firmware version in “SETUP MENU” and follow the instructions displayed on the Nikon COOLPIX W300 camera screen to complete the firmware update.
7. Turn off Nikon COOLPIX W300 camera and remove the memory card after the firmware update process is complete.

8. Confirm that the Nikon COOLPIX W300 camera firmware has been updated to the new version
