The handy auto Mode automatically selects the best settings for your shoot, while the Smart Portrait System delivers a flattering portrait. Zoom in with 5x optical zoom lens NIKKOR camera to amaze the 16.1 megapixel close-up, or zoom out and record the entire gang in 720p HD video. If your hands are somewhat shaky, electronic VR will offset the movement of the camera and make your shots sharp and clear. For added convenience, the COOLPIX A10 operates with AA batteries, so you’ll never get stuck waiting for a fee. Convenience is considered in every aspect of the COOLPIX A10!

There are six creative effects, an automatic scene selector that automatically detects scenes, 15 scene modes that can be selected manually, smart portrait mode, and an automatic mode (program) where you can set white balance, continuous shooting (on or off), and ISO speeds up. Video options allow you to select a resolution (maximum of 720p, 30fps), or set the auto-focus mode to single or continuous. In the Settings menu, you have the option to apply a date stamp, turn on or turn off electronic VR, and set the battery type.

Check the camera firmware version.

How to Updating the Camera Firmware

1. Create a new folder on your computer.

2. Download the Nikon COOLPIX A10 Firmware (F-A10-V11W.exe / F-A10-V11W.dmg) to the folder created in Step 1.
3. Extract the Firmware file (F-A10-V11W.exe / F-A10-V11W.dmg) containing “firmware.bin” (camera firmware) to a folder called “A10Update“.
4. Copy the file “firmware.bin” to the memory card that has been formatted in the Nikon COOLPIX A10.
5. Insert the memory card into the main slot on the Nikon COOLPIX A10 and turn on the camera.
6. Select the Firmware version in “SETUP MENU” and follow the instructions displayed on the Nikon COOLPIX A10 camera screen to complete the firmware update.
7. Turn off Nikon COOLPIX A10 camera and remove the memory card after the firmware update process is complete.

8. Confirm that the Nikon COOLPIX A10 camera firmware has been updated to the new version
