Nikon COOLPIX A100 Mirrorless Digital Camera
Nikon COOLPIX A100 Firmware Update – Nikon Coolpix A100, although it has a new name, not a new camera. Apart from some style changes that can be ignored, the A100 is identical to S2900 2015, which is essentially the same as the S2800 2014. Renaming the camera not by fixing it is not new, and unfortunately, it is now standard in the stable budget sector. With a relentless boost to improving smartphone cameras, the market for a standalone point and snapper shot decreases rapidly. Therefore it’s no surprise that camera manufacturers don’t want to invest resources to develop all-new models.
Nikon COOLPIX A100 Features and Design
The Nikon Coolpix A100 has a half-plastic, half-metal, and with the metal front, the camera feels pretty solid and is put together well. The front of the camera is smooth, with only a few points lifted at the back for your thumb. Therefore we highly recommend using the provided wrist strap to avoid dropping the camera. The buttons and controls are neatly laid out with a clear label, and the buttons are not too small, although the camera is compact enough and the camera should be very easy to use even for beginners or kids.
The fifth and final shooting mode is Auto mode, which works like a programmable auto mode. Here the camera maintains shutter speed control and aperture, but you can choose the white balance setting and the ISO sensitivity. In automatic mode, A100 also has the option to change the focus point between face priority, subject tracking, target discovery, centre point selection and manual, plus there is the ability to switch between single and full-time autofocus.
