Nikon D7200 Firmware Update – The D7200 was built around a sensor with a resolution of 24.2 million pixels, a small increase of the 24.1 million pixels, while the body was quite identical, with the same weights and dimensions, and the same viewfinder. The D7200 design has not changed compared to its predecessor. It makes it a medium-sized DSLR with magnesium alloy, a weatherproof body. Being a fan of DSLRs, it shouldn’t be surprising that the body is covered with buttons, fast, and I/O ports, though everything suits you expect.

The D7200 is better weather-sealed than the D7000, but given the D7000 I have survived the 200K + shot, and I usually shoot in a very dusty outside area, the quality of the building is not a problem there. At 674 grams (23.9 ounces), the D7200 is relatively light and balanced with lighter lenses, but not also with heavier lenses such as 24-120mm, 18-300mm or 150-600mm. D7200 does not have a low-resolution plastic LCD cover found in the D7000.

D7200 presents the updated AF module: The Multi-CAM 3500 II. While delivering the same broad coverage and high density of 51-point systems in the D7100, this module carries enhanced sensitivity to each AF point. The use of traditional phase-detection modules means that D7200 has a sharp focus, and can also track along the depth axis (z-axis) reliably and quickly, even in continuous shooting. With this particular module, we expect excellent performance on the (depth) of subject tracking approaching or backward with a single static AF point.

D7200 introduces Wi-Fi and NFC (Near Field Communication) connectivity within the body itself, both of which are becoming more prevalent in D-SLR.
