Nikon D90 12.3 Megapixel DX-Format CMOS DSLR Camera
Nikon D90 Firmware Update – The Nikon D90 is a fantastic camera. This is the latest and best DX-format DSLR. I prefer the old D300, which costs almost doubling. That’s the case with digital cameras: The new one is almost always better, even at a much cheaper cost. The D90 has a technical image quality that is identical or slightly better than the D300, the exact rear LCD. It adds some ergonomic features that are especially useful for faster handling compared to the D300. This improved handling will make you react more quickly to the condition, which means you are more likely to get better pictures with better ready.
Nikon D90 Design and Features
D90 adds several new features, including some of the Nikon professional DLSR and others that are currently unique. The sensor is upgraded to a newly designed, 23x 15.8 mm DX-format CMOS sensor with a 12.3-megapixel resolution and built-in sensor cleaning, the LCD monitor, is just the same as 3.0 inches, the 920k unit of the D3 and the D300, and has a new viewfinder With 96 percent frame coverage.
The D90 has five preset image controls, which offer varying degrees of immersion, contrast, brightness, saturation, and hue. There is also a Monochrome mode with a ‘ filter ‘ option that regulates the balance of three color channels to mimic the four traditional color filters used in analog photography (the result can then have one of nine colors applied in the Seven levels of intensity). Each image style can be customized, either using the ‘ Quick Settings ‘ option, which changes some parameters or by changing the parameters individually.
D90 shares an 11-point, autofocus system (with a cross-type sensor in the middle), although Expeed processing and a new RGB 420-pixel sensor meant using a scene recognition system version seen on high-end cameras, and such as D3/D300/D700 could track the movement of the subject using color. In 3D tracking mode, the D90 (like his brothers) will try to keep the item focused after the lock focus even if it moves closer or farther from you (though with only 11 AF points, recommended for focus and recomposition, it doesn’t track fast-moving objects).
Nikon D90 Performance
The startup time and shut-down are fast, fast enough that it’s hard to measure. Buffer cleaning time is good enough, but it depends on the image quality, size, and speed of the memory card.
The full-auto Focus shutter response is excellent at 0.208 seconds, a little faster than D80. Enabling built-in flash increases full AF lag only slightly to 0.249 seconds: a small increase is remarkable. “Focus before” the camera by pressing half and holding the shutter button before the last shot is only within 0.067 seconds lag, also slightly faster than D80. Manual focus is just as fast as pre-focus.
The pause time in Live View mode is a little slower, as only contrast-detection AF is supported on the D90 (unlike the D300, which also has the Live View AF phase-detection mode). Full AF in Live View takes 2.3 seconds for a very long time to achieve focus. (Contrast-AF detection needs to adjust the lens slightly out of the first focus, then return, to be able to say that it achieves the right focus.) Lenses with a fast focus motor seem to make a small difference. When previously focused, the Live View shutter lag was much faster at 0.519 seconds, but it was still almost 8x slower than using phase-detection AF with an optical viewfinder.
The Nikon D90 uses special lithium-ion batteries that can be recharged to power, and shipped with the charger. Although the battery life is good enough, we recommend you take the spare batteries and stay in the newly filled and ready-made places for the old event.

How to Updating the Camera Firmware

Create a new folder on your computer.
- Download the Nikon D810A Firmware (F-D90-V101W.exe) to the folder created in Step 1.
- Extract the Firmware file (F-D90-V101W.exe) containing “D90_0101.bin” (camera firmware) to a folder called “D90Update“.
- Copy the file “D90_0101.bin” to the memory card that has been formatted in the camera.
- Insert the memory card into the main slot on the camera and turn on the camera.
- Select the Firmware version in “SETUP MENU” and follow the instructions displayed on the camera screen to complete the firmware update.
- Turn off your camera and remove the memory card after the firmware update process is complete.
