Nikon Z6 Firmware Update

Nikon Z6 FX-Format Mirrorless Camera

Nikon Z6 Firmware Update – The Nikon Z6 was announced in August 2018, along with a higher Z7 resolution. Both Z series cameras marked the entry of the company into the full-frame mirrorless market, the category of cameras that had anticipated many Nikon shooters anxiously over the years. But it has always been the question “when ” instead of “if ” Nikon would satisfy the hunger without a mirror because the demand for such cameras remained stable and even improved although overall the camera market decreased.

Nikon Z6 Design and Features

The Z6 has a very lovely grip that puts most of the control in every range of your fingers, although it is somewhat challenging to achieve a customizable button that attaches to the lens mount. Another thing that might annoy people with enormous hands is that there is no real support for your little finger. The battery grip that will extend the grip is being developed but is not yet available.

Nikon Z6 Performance

Although the Nikon Z6 uses an entirely new 273-point autofocus system, it shares a lot of DNA, focusing on Nikon DSLRs when used in direct view. That’s not necessarily a good thing. Nikon DSLRs, especially the latest models, are known for their high-quality phase-detection autofocus system when shooting through the viewfinder. But Nikon’s live view autofocus performance, even on the company’s best DSLR, is unremarkable.

Although the Z6 autofocus indeed draws inspiration from the Nikon’s traditional viewfinder autofocus as well, it’s closer to the Nikon’s live display focus system. The good news is that the addition of phase detection pixels on the sensor allows for a fairly fast Z6 focus, and other features such as Low-Light AF are better than the previous Nikon live view attempts. If you are using AF-S mode for single servo autofocus, Z6 has an outstanding autofocus system that will not disappoint.

Excellent Z6 autofocus for static subjects, fast and accurate focusing, including low-light conditions. You still want to find an item with a good texture, not just a sharp line or a gentle transition. And, as discussed more in a moment, you get the best performance using the original Z lens rather than the F-mount lens via the FTZ adapter.
