Nikon COOLPIX P80 Compact Digital Camera
Nikon COOLPIX P80 Firmware Update – The Nikon Coolpix P80 is Nikon’s first “super-zoom” compact camera, with an 18x zoom lens that provides a massive focal range of 27-485mm. The Nikon P80 can easily handle everything from wide-angle landscapes and close-up buildings, head and shoulder portraits, sports, and even wildlife and bird photography, all from separate cameras that weigh less than 400g and can be put in small bags. Coolpix P80 lenses are equipped with Nikon’s VR (Vibration Reduction) image stabilization system to ensure that most photos are sharp and do not experience camera shake. In addition to the impressive optical technology offered by this camera, there is also a 2.7-inch LCD screen and an electronic viewfinder for image composition, a full range of exposure control with Auto, Program, Shutter-priority, Aperture-priority and full Manual modes, and extensive. ISO range 64-6400.
Nikon COOLPIX P80 Design, Features, and Performance
The Nikon Coolpix P80 is equipped with a bright and clear 2.7-inch color LCD monitor. It has a reasonably shiny surface, making framing in bright sunlight a little more difficult due to reflections. Polished surfaces like this are also easily smudged by fingerprints and do show small scratches, so you should keep them in mind on the go.
The Coolpix P80 also comes with an electronic optical viewfinder and the Monitor button in the upper left corner of the rear panel controls where the viewfinder display appears. Both viewfinders are entirely accurate, showing about 102% frame accuracy at wide angles and about 99% on the telephoto. The Display button just above the upper-right corner of the larger LCD monitor controls the information overlay and activates the framing alignment grid. The Setup menu offers brightness adjustments to help compensate for the very bright conditions.
