Nikon COOLPIX P600 Design, Features, and Performance
The P600 is an entry-level DSLR-sized digital camera that looks a bit utilitarian. It looks very similar to most of its competitors. The camera bears a striking resemblance to its predecessor and zooms in on the P520 by nearly 500 millimeters (24mm – 1000mm vs. 24mm – 1440mm) without drastically changing the dimensions of the camera.
The P600 has an automatic mode that automatically adjusts the settings for the detected atmosphere, with the camera selecting 21 settings. There is an automatic HDR mode that combines two different shots taken at different exposures. Nikon Coolpix p600 has an Easy Panorama Mode for shooting 360° and 180° panoramas with just a camera shift.
Coolpix P600 has a 3.0″ 921k dot vari-angle LCD screen and a 0.2″ dot EVF 201k. It also has built-in Wi-Fi allowing you to use your smartphone or tablet as a remote control or so you can edit and share your pictures. we can also use GPS from mobile devices to geotag images. Images can be edited through playback using the retouch menu, and there are several effects, such as photo illustrations and soft portraits.
The P600 control layout is designed efficiently. Buttons/knobs/switches are logically placed and easily grasped by right-handed shooters. The upper deck features a standard mode dial and a large elevated shutter button (with surround toggle zoom).
Nikon’s function keys are unlike Canon’s “func” button, which calls the shortcut menu to access frequently changed settings directly. Instead, Nikon’s “Fn” button provides direct access to one user’s preferred function, whether it’s the image size, image control, WB, measurement, continuous shooting mode, ISO, or AF area.
