Nikon COOLPIX P6000 Compact Digital Camera
Nikon COOLPIX P6000 Firmware Update – The P6000 is very expensive, even for a semi-pro camera, especially considering you can get an entry-level DSLR for under £300. Still, it has features you won’t find anywhere else. The photographic features are impressive, with a high-quality f/2.7-5.9 lens with an equivalent focal length range of 28-112mm, a 13.5-megapixel 1/1.7-inch sensor, and optical lens-shift image stabilization.
Nikon COOLPIX P6000 Design, Features, and Performance
Designed with a serious shooter looking for serious exposure control and processing options in mind, the Nikon P6000 features several key features, including EXPEED processing, manual exposure mode, advanced flash control, metal construction, and unlimited GPS integration from Nikon’s professional and consumer DSLR lines. On the processing side, Nikon’s Coolpix Image Control System allows users to choose from a list of defined processing modes or manually adjust parameters such as contrast and saturation.
In addition to various JPEG processing controls, the P6000 also provides raw shooting mode but does not use the Nikon NEF file format commonly developed for DSLR manufacturers. In contrast, the new raw format (NRW) seems designed primarily for processing on cameras. The ability to change shots after using the camera’s Picture Control System option is not a bad addition. Still, using this standard raw format that is incompatible with Nikon’s advanced workflow software may be an obstacle for older Nikonians.
The fact that the camera takes a full five seconds to clear the buffer and prepare itself for another shot after each NRW capture, combined with the fact that its files are 20 MB each, will probably deter most other shooters from taking too many raw shots. Shot. With the P6000, although the addition of the P6000 to the adobe supported list is a big step in the right direction.
